Fix: Error Occurred While Converting the File iTunes (-50)

You may receive an error while trying to convert an audio file in iTunes. In addition, iTunes may successfully convert the audio file, but it plays distorted.

Error occurred while converting the file “”. An unknown error occurred (-50).

1. Verify you have an iTunes Media folder location selected in iTunes Preferences -> Advanced.

2. If you are unable to successfully convert the iTunes audio file using another encoder method (AAC, MP3, AIFF, WAV, etc) your audio file may be corrupt or damaged. You can attempt to repair and convert the audio file using Audacity.
