The Recycle Bin is Corrupted – Windows
You may receive and error that the Windows Recycle Bin has become corrupted. This can cause concerns for anything you move into the Recycle Bin, including files not being able to be recovered once in the bin and before emptying it.
You can repair the Windows Recycle Bin:

Right-click Windows Command prompt and select “Run as Administrator”

Type the following: rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin – this command will delete the current contents of your recycle bin.

Reboot your machine. You will have a new recycle bin created.
