iOS Update Requires Wi-Fi Network to Download but Already Connected to WiFi?

If your iPhone or Pad requires an iOS update and shows your device is already connected to Wi-Fi but you still receive This updates requires a Wi-Fi network connection to download and is greyed out, it is most likely because your iPhone or iPad Wi-Fi connection is not strong enough to the router. You will need 3 full Wi-Fi bars in order to initiate an iOS update while connected to a Wi-Fi network.

1. Try to connect to a different Wi-Fi network.

2. Toggle Wi-Fi on and off on your device to see if you can connect to the Wi-Fi network with a stronger signal.
