How To: Completely Uninstall Control-M Agent – BMC
If you recently tried performing an uninstall of Control-M agent on a Windows machine, the uninstall might not have completed entirely. If you try re-installing or upgrading a Control-M agent on the same machine, you may receive a prompt that another installation of an agent already exists. You will need to delete Windows registry keys in addition to running the control panel uninstall.
- Open Windows registry. Type regedit into Windows run.
- Browse and delete the following Windows registry keys.
Delete all contents of:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\
Or...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\CONTROL-M/Agent
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\CONTROL-M/FileWatcher
