Fix: You Attempted to Open a Database That is Already Opened – Microsoft Access

You may receive the following message while trying to open a Microsoft Access Database.

 

You attempted to open a database that is already opened by user “” on machine “”. Try again when the database is available.





 

If you are using Citrix desktops, this error is likely caused by a disconnected Citrix session that has the Database still open. You will need a Citrix administrator to forcefully end the Citrix session (possibly your session) to free the Database.
