Review GreenWorks High Pressure Soap Applicator and Manual
I recently purchased a GreenWorks electric power washer to use around the house and wash cars with. I was disappointed the GreenWorks line of power washers could not apply soap at high pressure by default. I learned that GreenWorks made an attachment that could apply soap with high pressure.
The GreenWorks website was out of stock of their High Pressure Soap Applicator product – 51362. I decided to head to Lowes to see if they carried it, since their 2000 PSI pressure washer was exclusively offered there. Sure enough, Lowes had a few on their shelf stocked so I picked one up for $19.99.
The unit is straightforward to use. I decided to use a mixture of car wash soap with water (4tbsps of wash and the rest water) to fill the detergent container on the soap applicator. I used the soap applicator with my GreenWorks 2000 PSI power washer.
First impressions: - the high pressure applicator really isn’t using a high pressure at all. It sprays the soap out combined with water at a slightly better pressure than the power washer itself (the 2000 PSI model will apply soap with a special nozzle tip too, but it’s a drizzly application – no pressure at all). While the pressure is slightly better compared to the power washer soap applicator, it is nowhere near 2000 PSI that the water comes out at – which is exactly what I expected. I couldn’t guess what PSI the soap is being applied at – but nowhere near 2000 PSI.
The soap applicator also would occasionally switch from a spray to a direct line stream, like that of a garden hose. I wasn’t sure if this was due to the angle I was holding the wand at or the mixture I was using. It was intermittently doing this until I depleted the entire bottle of soap I mixed.
After washing my truck with moderate dirt, the soap applicator didn’t really live up to standards. My truck had dirt left behind after I pressure rinsed before, applied soap, rinsed after. I did not wash the exterior other than with the pressure washer.
I am disappointed at how advertising portrayed this unit. I believed I would be able to apply soap at the same PSI as my pressure washer sends water out with the turbo nozzle. I feel the product is more of a gimmick rather than an enhancement to the power washer.
At this point, I am looking into better pressure applicators on Amazon and the Green Earth Foam Blaster 5171 is in my bucket list to use and try. It is highly rated.

Will NOT dispense the soap. Tube is not clogged!! What is wrong? I need the soap!!!
Well there is no need to apply the soap at high pressure. I have used one and it applies the soap very well and lots of it with a good enough pressure. You let the soap soak for a few minutes and then change the tip and pressure wash.
This product definitely works better that the kind that such the soap up through the hose and wand.
I am so glad I red this review as I was about to buy the soap dispenser. I was sure it would spray soapy water at the maximum water pressure but now I will not buy it. You just saved me $20 plus tax. Thanks
