Fix: Reporting Data Warehouse Management Server is Currently Unavailable – SCSM

If you are working in Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM), you may receive a prompt about reporting data warehouse management server is unavailable. This caused the application to crash.

Reporting Data Warehouse Management Server is currently unavailable. You will be unable to view reports or administer the Data Warehouse until this server is available. Please contact your system administrator. After the server becomes available, please close your console and re-open to connect.

The reporting data warehouse management server is likely your SCSM database server and has SQL server installed. This server has either crashed or SQL is unavailable and SCSM cannot connect to the database.

All else, verify the following:

  1. Check to ensure all services on the Data Warehouse management server are running as domain accounts with administrator privileges.

  1. Ensure the SQL Reporting Services website certificate is installed into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities web store on the local machine you are running SCSM console from (if you have not installed your CA onto the SQL Reporting Server).
