Why: System – Call Failure Message – iPhone

Were you on an iPhone call and have it suddenly drop? You probably noticed your iPhone service bars disappear too. If your iPhone was locked, you may see a system message about the call failure.

We started noticing failed calls in certain areas of our neighborhood. It did not matter the length of the call, it would assumingly drop at some point and we completely loose LTE service, including Internet.

The solution for us was to reset iPhone network settings. After resetting our network settings, we have not had a dropped call in the areas we used to in a few months.

In addition to resetting your iPhone network settings, check to see if there is a carrier update for your iPhone.
