Easy: Remove Someone from Group Text iPhone
If you are in a group text on your iPhone, you can easily remove anyone from the conversation if you created the group text message or added the user to the group text message. Follow the steps below.
- Open the group iMessage. Click the “i" in the top right corner of the message.
- You will see the group message participants. Swipe any name left to reveal Delete.
- You will receive a confirmation to remove the person from the conversation. Select Remove.

The only thing that might work for now is to change your phone number
Iphone 10 - doesn't work either. No Delete Option. Just brings up the contact. SO frustrating.
Does not work. All it does is bring up the contact's info name and doesn't give you the option to delete, only to block this caller.
Do not click the username, swipe left to reveal the delete. This still works.
No that doesn’t work. I’ve tried several times and nothing happens.
The reason is it’s not working is everyone in the conversation has to be on iMessage. If they have Android and just texting then everybody is locked in the conversation. I haven’t seen a work around yet.
Deleting people from group text still doesn’t work!! 4/3/18.
I also want to delete a group text and there is no delete option!! Very frustrating!! This needs to be fixed!!
I also created a group text with 11 people and this is not working for me on my iPhone 8+ either. No Delete option comes up after swiping left.

This does not work on iPhone 7. There is no 'delete' option after swiping right to left.
