Fix: iMessage keeps showing “New Photo Available” after clicking “Update”
Are you receiving a notification in iMessage about new photo available from someone in your Contacts list? When you click Update Contact it updates the photo for the contact, but the next time you receive a new iMessage from the same person in your Contact list (if you deleted the original iMessage), it prompts again for new photo available from user. This may be a bug in iOS but you can stop the notification from appearing again below.
1. On your iOS device, go to Settings -> Messages -> and enable Show Contact Photos.

Hi, The update new photo changed the photo to initials. Is there a way to revert to the picture. I cannot find the original
Did not work it was already turned to ‘on’.
It was already set to ‘on’ still did not fix turned it on and off again.
