Fix: Cannot create value: Error writing to the registry - Windows

If you attempt to create a new registry value in Windows, you may be prompted with the following message which prevents you from creating any new keys.

Error Creating Value

Cannot create value: Error writing to the registry.

1. Ensure the local account you are logged in with has privileges/right to create new entries inside of Windows registry.

2. Open Run. Type regedit and shift-right-click and choose Run as Administrator
