Fix: Action Required: Your Google Account is Temporarily Disabled

Did you just receive a notification to your phone or secondary email address that your Google email address has been temporarily suspended? Here is what the Gmail suspension notification looks like via iMessage and email.

This particular notice states that the Gmail account was suspended because it violated the Google Terms of Service, but does not go on to say in detail how or why.

To regain access to your Gmail account and unsuspend it, simply login to Gmail. There will be no further action needed at that time. You do not need to change your Gmail password.

If your still interested in finding out what happened and why your account suddenly was suspended and disabled randomly, you can attempt to file an appeal with Google here.

If you do submit an appeal asking specifically why your Gmail account was recently suspended/disabled, you still might not get anywhere. You will receive an email from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and the reply may be a general message similar to below.

Thank you for contacting us about being unable to access your Google account. We've looked into your account and confirmed that it is still active, so you should be able to log in normally.

Please try logging again. If you can’t remember your password use this form and select “I don’t know my password”. If you can't remember your username, but still have access to the email address you used to create your account, you can regain access to your account by selecting "I don't know my username."
