The program used to create this object is Outlook. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install Outlook or ensure that any dialog boxes in outlook are closed.
This has been documented as a known issue by Microsoft and the issue is due to a recently installed patch specifically KB3203467 (Security Update for Outlook 2010 June 13 2017).
Uninstall this patch and reboot the affected machine.

It does work! Unfortunately, the patch keeps getting reinstalled. I think I need to work with my company's IT Security team to keep this from happening. But that is an issue on my end. This solution has worked for me multiple times.
Update from my last post. I don't know if it worked. I just checked and that patch is still installed even though I went through the uninstall successfully. Going to try it again. This gives me hope!
