ICANN Annual Notice Domain Name Contact Whois Information
Each year, the ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) sends an email to domain owners reminding them that the Whois contact information for their domain name is up to date and accurate for contact fields Registrant, Administrative, and Technical. The email includes the domain name and a link to the current Whois contact information. It is important for all domain name owners to review this information carefully and make necessary updates if needed. In the rare case the ICANN audits your Whois information, your domain could get suspended or removed completely.
Dear “”
This is your annual notice that all registered domain names must have accurate and up-to-date contact information.
Please review the domain information below and verify its accuracy. If all information is up-to-date then no changes are necessary. Inaccurate or outdated information must be corrected by logging into your account.
While we do respect your privacy, we are required by ICANN, our regulating authority, to send these notices annually to all domain contacts. To learn more about this process and why it is required, please visit ICANN’s website: http://www.icann.org/whois/wdrp-registrant-faq.htm
Please remember that under the terms of your registration agreement, providing false or inaccurate Whois (contact) information can be grounds for the cancellation of your domain name registration.
ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) annually requires all accredited registrars to request registrants to review domain name contact information for accuracy.
If the contact information is accurate, no further action is required. However, if any of the contact information is inaccurate, it must be corrected. Please remember that under the terms of your registration agreement, the provision of false Whois (contact) information can be grounds for cancellation of your domain name registration.
