YouTube Pending Edit: Stuck (Workaround)
If you edited a single or multiple YouTube videos (bulk action) using the YouTube Creator Studio -> Video Manager, you may appear stuck in an infinite wait period for the edits to process and you will see a pending edit message. The pending edit message may appear for over 20 minutes, even if you refresh your video manager page. However, if you open the video(s) you edited, you may see the video(s) already updated with your changes.
Update Video?
You're about to update XX video. You Won't be able to perform another bulk action task until this update is done.
I understand that I can't undo or cancel this update once it has started.
If you attempt to update another video while the pending edit is displayed, you will receive another message:
You cannot modify videos in bulk while they are being processed.
Edit in progress
Depending on YouTube’s server’s user load, you will have to wait until the pending edit message disappears completely before you can edit any more videos on YouTube for desktop computers. At this time, there is no way to forcefully cancel pending video edits. However, you can get around editing more videos and bypassing the pending edit message by using your Mobile Device with YouTube Studio app.
- On your mobile device, install YouTube Studio app. Links below
*YouTube Studio App: Google Play
*YouTube Studio App: App Store
- Login to the YouTube Studio app with your YouTube user account.
- Browse to any video you wish to edit and click the pencil icon at the top right of the screen (the pencil icon is in front of where the YouTube video artwork is displayed).
Now, you can continue to edit and save any videos you need to while the pending edit message runs its course on your Desktop computer.
