Fix: Unable to Create Directory GoToMeeting

Fix: Unable to Create Directory GoToMeeting

When you attempt to launch or host a Citrix GoToMeeting, you receive an install error message about GoToMeeting is unable to create directory. This prevents you from joining or hosting a meeting. GoToMeeting downloads application files and places them inside a numbered directory (typically the numbered version of GoToMeeting) that are needed each time you join or host a meeting. If GoToMeeting cannot create this folder or files, it will fail to join or host a meeting.

Unable to create directory

  1. Verify the Windows account you are logged in with has permissions to allow GoToMeeting to download and copy files to your Local profile folder. GoToMeeting may be placing files inside a different local profile in the error message. You can usually fix this by rebuilding the Windows profile.

  1. On another Windows machine that is working with GoToMeeting, join or host a meeting to download the needed files and copy them to the problematic profile path the error message references.
