Why: The network response was invalid – Venmo
While using the Venmo app, you receive a pop-up message about network response was invalid. If you already tried using Venmo over LTE and WiFi, check to see if the Venmo service is down on their Twitter support page. Many users report when they receive this message that Venmo is currently down.

VENMO allows their Venmo clients to scam other members off of HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS, rip them off HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS, and VENMO refuses to ensure that services paid for through Venmo are given to their customers. In other words, you pay $500 upfront, and get absolutely nothing for your money. And, Venmo says "Too Bad"! Even though it happens on a regular basis. Apparently VENMO's policies are actually encouraging theft, rip offs, scams, and many other Nightmares. VENMO allow allows their members to send death threats to other members, pictures of people that these members have killed, and daily life-threatening phone calls from criminals. Venmo is basically a front for criminals to scam unsuspecting VENMO customers, and VENMO is totally OK with VENMO members sending DEATH THREATS TO VENMO customers. My God! Do you want to lose hundreds of dollars and get death threats on a daily basis against you AND your family?
1st they tell you over and over your not supposed to buy and sell on their network so if you followed the rules there couldn't be an upfront loss. 2nd if someone calls threatening me over the phone I would laugh what are they gonna do talk you to death. Come on they are telephone warriors.
