How To: Reset Maintenance Light Lexus GX 470
If you recently got an oil change or similar service, but your Lexus GX 470 Maintenance Light still stays on, you will need to manually reset it following these steps.
Note: Some car maintenance shops crew (Midas, Jiffy Lube, etc) don’t know how to reset your maintenance light and won’t tell you - leaving you surprised as you pull out of their lot with your new service.
1. Turn your Lexus GX 470 ignition to On (Do not turn over the engine)
2. Click your Odometer until it reads ODO
3. Turn off your car ignition.
4. Hold down your Odometer then turn your car ignition to On. (Do not turn over the engine) Continue holding until the Maintenance Light blinks and turns off.
5. You can start your car normally afterword’s and turn over your engine.
