Fix: Please Check If This File Is Opened in Another Program Notepad++

If you are trying to save a file in NotePad++, you may receive an error about the file being open in another program even though the file is not opened in another program. The problem is that the file you are trying to edit needs elevated privileges. Perform any of the actions below.

Right-Click on NotePad++ (you may also need to hold down shift key) and choose Run as administrator.

Copy the file you are trying to edit in NotePad++ to another location, edit it, then copy it back to the original location overwriting the old file. This should work without any issues and without the needs of elevated privileges.
