Fix: iPhone Restore iCloud "Account Details Unavailable"

Fix: iPhone Restore iCloud

If you recently restored your iphone with iOS 9, you may receive a message when you select your iCloud account information under Settings -> iCloud

Account Details Unavailable If you are signing in to iCloud on another device or at iCloud.com, you can get a verification code while offline

Selections Get Verification Code or Ok

It seems the restore has somehow corrupted your iCloud login ID on your iOS device (iPhone). The verification code you will get won't mean anything.

To fix the corruption, log out of iCloud on your device and log back in.

You will get a prompt "if you sign out of your account, all Photo Stream photos and iCloud Drive stored in iCloud will be removed from this iphone"

Do not fret! The information will only be temporarily lost until you log back into icloud.

Then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

Tap Settings > iCloud on your iOS device.

Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. ...

Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device], and enter the password for your Apple ID.

SOLUTION FOUND:

I had the exact same problem just now after setting up a second iphone while i was still logged in to my other iphone with iCloud.
Solution:
- Log in to http://www.icloud.com with a computer.
- Choose "Settings"
- In "My Devices" it shows all of your devices that are connected to your iCloud account
- Delete the device that is malfunctioning (in my case the first iphone)
- Then access your iCloud menu on the malfunctioning iphone and "Sign Out" at the bottom or re-enter your iCloud password

In my case a message popped up on my iphone asking me to validate my iCloud account. And this time I could actually enter the password and it worked.

Greetings from Germany

does not work, since I seem to be stuck in a loop. To disable "Find my iPhone", I need to enter my Apple Id password. The iPhone does not accept it. You are saying, I need to log off from iCloud and log back in. When I try this, I can't, since I first need to disable "Find my iPhone", which I can't etc etc. Frustrating...

HP, I would expect your password to work at that point. Does it work logging in at https://www.icloud.com ?

I can't seem to sign out. It asks me for my Apple ID password so "Find My iPhone" can be turned off... When I do that it says "Verification Failed - There was an error connecting to iCloud". Cancel or Retry.
