Audacity Not Opening Files From Same Folder

Audacity Not Opening Files From Same Folder
In the latest version of Audacity, there seems to be a bug in the application when you try to open a new file from the same folder you opened a previous file from. Audacity does not retain the last folder opened and defaults to some random folder. This is a pain if you are opening several individual audio files from the same folder. Each time you go to Audacity -> Open… audacity sets the last folder you opened from to a random folder which makes you navigate back to the folder with files each time.     A resolution that temporarily worked was to clean the Audacity temporary folder located at /var/folders/sz/pps4ctwd7d9djf_pb241544w0000gn/T/audacity although this folder path is different for everyone.   Audacity Forums
